It started with a passion for teaching
I'm Danny, and I've been teaching people to drive for over 20 years. I started as an Advanced Driving Instructor in the UK, where I fell in love with that moment a nervous learner suddenly “gets it” — when the clutch clicks, the confidence builds, and you can see them realising they can actually do this.
When my family moved to the Gold Coast, I knew I wanted to keep doing what I love. RED Driver Training was born from a simple belief: every learner deserves patient, experienced instruction — not someone who rushes through lessons or makes you feel silly for making mistakes.
My own daughters, Molly and Noah, learned to drive with me. Watching them grow from nervous beginners to confident, safe drivers reminded me why I do this. That same care and patience I gave them is exactly what every student at RED receives.
Thomas joined the team because he shares that same philosophy — it's not about cramming for a test, it's about building habits that keep you safe for life. Together, we've helped hundreds of Gold Coast learners get their licence and, more importantly, become drivers their families can trust on the road.
